Rodney Vizer

Project Manager

I am a project manager with nearly ten years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain environments. My background spans industrial systems, environmental technologies, and product development, where I've managed projects from concept through execution, balancing scope, schedule, and cost while coordinating closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

I bring a practical, hands-on approach to project delivery, with experience supporting design, procurement, and production efforts, as well as driving process improvements and cost optimization initiatives. I enjoy translating technical requirements into executable plans and keeping teams aligned in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Outside of work, much of my time is spent exploring the Pacific Northwest, staying active outdoors, riding motorcycle, and spending time with my wife and our dog. I'm also interested in music and DJing, along with a curiosity for travel and different cultures.

Questions & Answers

How do you make people laugh?

I usually lean into dry, situational humor. Ill pick up on whats going on in the moment and make a quick comment or observation, especially if things are getting a little too serious. A well-timed joke can reset the mood and make things feel more manageable.

If you were a tool or piece of equipment, what would you be and why?

If I were a piece of equipment, Id be an audio mixer. I like bringing different inputs together, controlling the flow, and making sure everything works in sync without things clashing. Whether its people, priorities, or moving pieces, I tend to focus on keeping things balanced and running smoothly.

That connection also carries over into my interest in music and DJing, where timing, flow, and reading the room all matter.

What's your favorite productivity hack or time-saving trick?

One of my favorite productivity habits is breaking work down into clear priorities and focusing on what actually moves things forward. I try to identify the few critical tasks that drive progress each day and tackle those first, rather than getting pulled into constant e-mails or smaller distractions.

I also like to front-load communication, getting alignment early with stakeholders and teams, because it prevents rework and saves a lot of time later in the project.
