I am a Mechanical Engineer with a passion for design and problem solving. I have extensive experience in products ranging from home printers, to wooden bicycles, to industrial 3D printing, to aerospace. Nothing gets me more excited than finding novel solutions to complex problems and seeing those designs come to fruition.

How do you make people laugh?

I try to keep it light and not to take things too seriously. I think it's important to be able to take a step back and laugh at ourselves, especially during stressful times or when things are not going right. I never miss an opportunity to poke fun at myself to try and get a laugh out of everyone admittedly most of the time I'm lucky to get a sympathy chuckle.

If you were a tool or piece of equipment, what would you be and why?

I would be a Voile ski strap. They are flexible and dynamic and can be used to fix almost anything.
Severe injury? You have an emergency tourniquet. Tool handle broke? Lash it back together. Bumper falling off your car? Strap it back on.

What's your favorite productivity hack or time-saving trick?

I am a big fan of using to-do lists to keep track of time and tasks. It keeps me organized with my priorities explicitly outlined but keeps me flexible enough to react to changing priorities and unanticipated problems as they arise.
