I have worked as a Controls / Automation Engineer for most of my career, all within the Portland-metro area. I've made contributions in Aerospace, Semiconductor, Paper, Glass, Footwear, and many other industries over the years. My aim here at Sigma, as it was elsewhere, is to do good work, produce happy clients, and be a generally helpful member of the team.

How do you make people laugh?

I enjoy wordplay. Witty banter, clever comments, obscure metaphors, etc. are a joy to craft (and to receive!)

If you were a tool or piece of equipment, what would you be and why?

If I were a tool, I would be a set of Wiha Precision screwdrivers stored in a custom leather folding pouch. My aim is to be simple and functional, and yet not devoid of human touch.

What's your favorite productivity hack or time-saving trick?

I use a combination of weekly alarms and iOS Reminders to tap my future self on the shoulder at specific times. Sometimes I get the reminder and it's not necessary, but for the times that I would have otherwise forgotten, I get a big sense of relief and gratitude for my past self.
