Christian Bryant-VonHeeder

Electrical Engineering Technician

I've always been eager to solve technical problems, whether it was helping teachers get projectors working in high school or building full robotic systems from scratch alongside a team under tight deadlines. That early curiosity evolved into a passion for embedded systems, robotics, and creating technology that makes a real impact.
I earned a B.S in Computer Science from Oregon State University, where I led hands-on hardware projects, worked alongside engineers to develop robotic devices, and further my skills across the board from firmware development to scripting and developing PCBs for custom projects. Whether working as a robotics technician or leading outreach for my on-campus club, I've learned to merge my technical skills with strong communication and leadership.

Questions & Answers

How do you make people laugh?

I tend to be a very charismatic person. I like to keep information lighthearted and productive while making a positive, even sometimes funny environment to work well in. From telling jokes, to just simply trying to make someone's day better; I will always try to make a positive working environment.

If you were a tool or piece of equipment, what would you be and why?

I'd definitely choose to be a 3D printer. Its use seems simple but overtime you find them to be extremely complex systems, allowing for development in prototyping. I find this to be extremely important because you tend to learn the most from the simplest of systems. 3D printers in the past allowed for add-ons to make the system easier to work on or simply use them to make more, that innovation factor of the device is the reason I think I'd want to be one.

What's your favorite productivity hack or time-saving trick?

I love using the Pomodoro technique. It allows me to plan productive sessions while also making sure I don't burn out.
