Electronics Engineer IV

Position Details:
  • The hiring range for this role is typically between $127,000 and $146,000, with the full range extending to $165,000, based on experience, internal equity, and career progression
  • This position will be Hybrid after first 30 days. 
    After training period, 2-4 days in office per week as needed to support projects
  • Day shift, M-F
 

Primary Function:
The Electronics Engineer IV is responsible for setting the direction of complex electronic system designs, acting as a subject matter expert, and driving innovation and excellence in execution. This role provides technical leadership across programs and represents Sigma Design externally.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
  • Define embedded system architecture across projects
  • Oversee electronics design quality, risk mitigation, and strategy
  • Lead client-facing technical discussions and negotiations
  • Mentor team members and provide technical coaching
  • Evaluate and implement best practices across the engineering team
  • Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with global standards
  • Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven technical leadership and deep hardware expertise
  • Skilled in compliance, test strategy, and high-level architecture
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and client-facing abilities
  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group
  • Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values
  • Pass a post-offer background verification



Work Environment
Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation.  Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
