Position Details:
- The hiring range for this role is typically between $21.00 and $25.00 an hour, with the full range extending to $29.00 an hour, based on experience, internal equity, and career progression
- This position will be In-Office
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Custodian is responsible for providing custodial and support services to SIGMADESIGN facilities, events and activities. Custodial staff helps ensure a clean, safe and healthy work environment.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
- Clean and set up conference rooms and shared common areas within the facilities.
- Sanitize facility restrooms, disinfecting/cleaning of dividers
- Maintain cleanliness of breakroom area, including floors, countertops and refrigerators, loading/clearing/operating the dishwasher
- Ensure restrooms are properly supplied and restocked, clean and sanitized
- Collect trash and recyclable materials for proper disposal at designated location
- Vacuum carpets and clean other floor surfaces as needed.
- Ensure windows are cleaned daily
- Keep supply closets clean and organized with products labeled properly and stored correctly.
- Perform special custodial work upon request of Facilities Department.
- Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
- Ability to use cleaning materials, chemical, and equipment with skill, safety and efficiency.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work requirements.
- Capable of performing moderately heavy cleaning tasks, repetitive motions and physical work requiring reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing ladders and lift up to 50 lb.
- Practices safe work habits and contributes to the safety of self and coworkers, including the use of personnel protective equipment as needed.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations preferred.
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.

Work Environment
Standard lab/production environment. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
