I am a University of Oregon graduate, where I studied Product Design and Business Administration. I helped start a small machine shop company in Eugene, Oregon that has expanded from a 2200 square foot building into a 6600 square foot building in less than five years. I dedicate a lot of attention to craftsmanship while researching how objects are created and function. I like setting small goals that can improve my efficiency and knowledge about a process.
BEST THING ABOUT WORKING AT SIGMADESIGN: The best and most exciting thing is getting to work with like-minded people in the design industry, people who have the same passion as I do for the things we create. I am looking forward to learning about the HP MJF 3D printer and how it can aid in my designs.
FIRST OR ODDEST JOB: My first job was working retail for Hollister Co. and Abercrombie & Fitch. The oddest job I would say was being the college mascot for the University of Oregon (the Oregon Duck, GO DUCKS!) I didn’t get paid for it, but I got to make people smile and laugh, so I’l take it.
FAVORITE LEISURE ACTIVITY: Some people love long walks on the beach, however, I love long walks in the snow. With that being said, I’m an avid snowboarder. I’m also an actor that has appeared as an extra in Portlandia, Pretty Little Liars, and Stumptown. I also love to draw.
FAVORITE FOOD: I love Mexican Mole, however I’ll never turn down a Crunchwrap Supreme, or Doritos Locos tacos from Taco Bell.
FAVORITE BOOK OR MOVIE: I really enjoyed reading “The Go Giver” by Bob Burg; a little book about a powerful business idea. My favorite movie would be The Hot Chick with Rob Scneider, Anna Farris and Rachel McAdams (I can seriously quote the whole movie.)
